Rock thrown from viaduct smashes car windscreen

Police are appealing for information after a block of limestone was dropped from a viaduct onto a car, smashing the windscreen.

The rock was thrown from approximately 100 feet up, landing on the car which was parked at Dunscombe Haulage and Storage, in Spring Gardens, Buxton, on Monday.

The owner of the car was at home at the time of the incident and heard at loud bang at around 12.30pm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101.
