A reveller who denied being ordered to leave Mansfield town centre by police late at night has had the case against him dismissed.
Sam David Glasby, of Orchid Way, Shirebrook, had been given the dispersal order after an alleged fight in the town on the evening of November 29.
Mansfield magistrates were told that Mr Glasby had been put in a taxi and told to leave the area, but it did not leave.
The police then took him from the vehicle and arrested him.
He denied failing to comply with the order, but the Crown Prosecution Service said they were unable to trace the taxi driver and asked for the case to be dismissed.
