Police are urging residents to keep their doors locked after burglars entered a house and stole Christmas presents.
The offenders got into the property on Houldsworth Crescent, Bolsover, through an unlocked back door sometime between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.
They stole Christmas presents – including a digital camera – along with cash, a handbag, a wallet and a mobile phone.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: “It’s really important that residents make sure their doors are locked when they’re out or asleep.”
Anyone with information about the crime should call police on 101.
