REVELLERS are looking forward to enjoying a variety of tastes when they whet their pallets at a popular beer festival.

The Rail Ale and Cider Festival, at Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre, at Barrow Hill, will take place between noon and 11pm, tomorrow, Friday, May 18, and on Saturday, May 19.

Tickets are being sold from Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre, at Rykneld Square, in the town centre.

The CAMRA organised event will boast more than 150 ales with music from popular bands including The Pitz and Ashover Brass Band.

Organisers have also put on a free bus service for ticket holders from Chesterfield railway station and Poundstretcher, at Saltergate, running to Barrow Hill, every half hour, from 11.20am, and hourly, from 1.50pm, with available return journeys.

There will be commemorative glasses and locomotives with free train rides.
