Potholes have appeared on the notorious Horns Bridge roundabout in Chesterfield.
The craters – which have been reported to Derbyshire County Council by the Derbyshire Times - will create more danger for drivers on the accident blackspot.
The county council has asked staff to work extra hours to fix the backlog of potholes caused by the recent extreme wet weather.
Councillor Dean Collins, deputy cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, said: “I can assure people that we’re doing all we can to repair our roads as quickly as possible.
“We look after more than 3,000 miles of roads across Derbyshire so it’s a massive job, but fixing potholes is our number one priority at the moment.”
