A much-loved north Derbyshire event is set to wow delighted crowds.
Thousands of country fair revellers will flock to Ashover Show to savour the sights, sounds and smells of traditional rural life at one of the country’s best-loved village extravaganzas.
The 81st show – which takes place at Rectory Fields, Ashover, from 9am on Wednesday, August 8 – will feature dozens of horticultural, livestock and agricultural competitions with entries from across the region.
A spokesman said: “Ashover Show is one of the most popular agricultural events in the country, enjoys tremendous loyalty and support from its members, supporters and visitors and intends to continue to offer outstanding value and a full day’s entertainment for many years to come.”
This year’s jam-packed show will boast a number of attractions including cattle, sheep and shire horse competitions, finger-licking food and delicious drink as well as floral exhibits, craft displays, dog shows and tractor demonstrations.
