A brave teenager has completed a 15,000ft fundraising skydive for Sheffield Children’s Hospital where she has been treated for a crippling condition.

Annabelle Ingram, 17, from the Buxton area, made the leap from a plane last month and has raised more than £1,000 in pledges.

Her auntie Alex Clark said: “I think she is an inspiration and is battling on with her life despite her illness. We are all very proud of her.”

Annabelle was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis last year.

She said: “With support from the hospital I have managed to do everyday tasks that I want to do in life.

“Sheffield Children’s Hospital has been so brilliant with my care and treatments since I was diagnosed back in May and I could not have wished for anyone better to see me through.”

The money raised will go to the hospital rheumatology department.
