Detectives are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in Chesterfield.
A British Transport Police spokesman said today that the 34-year-old came to the attention of station staff in the town at 3pm on Monday, March 17 and she was taken to hospital after claiming she had been attacked.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who remembers seeing the woman that day.
She is white, with shoulder length brown hair and on the day of the attack was wearing dark blue jeans, a dark shawl and brown heeled boots and was pulling a small blue trolley case.
Detective Sergeant Paul Kazimierczyk said: “We are following a number of lines of enquiry into this incident, including reviewing CCTV footage in and around the Chesterfield area. However we are still trying to piece together the circumstances.”
