Officers have released a CCTV picture of one of two men they would like to speak to as part of an investigation into the attempted theft of two TVs from a supermarket in Alfreton.

The still is one of two released earlier by police and it shows one of the men entering the Tesco store shortly before the incident at around 5.45pm on Wednesday, October 12.

A previous similar still shows another man police would like to speak to and this has also been featured in an earlier story on the Derbyshire Times’ website.

Police believe the two men may be able to help with their enquiries after two male suspects allegedly put two flat screen LCD TVs in their trolley and tried to leave the store, but left the goods and ran after security alarms sounded and they were challenged by staff.

Police would like to speak to the two men featured in the CCTV stills to help them with their enquiries.

One was wearing a striped top and the other was wearing a red hooded top.
