Police have this weekend launched an appeal for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on Wednesday has left a man fighting for his life.
The collision happened on the A617, Common Lane, Pleasley, about 6.45pm, on Wednesday, October 16, between a blue Volkswagen Golf car driven by a 31 year-old man and a black Ford Focus driven by a 35 year-old man.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: “As a result of the collision the VW driver sustained life-threatening injuries.”
Anyone who witnessed or saw either vehicle at the time of the collision or shortly before the collision should call the police.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a white van which is believed to have been on the same road at the time of the collision.
Witnesses and the white van driver are urged to call the police’s serious collision investigation unit on 101.
