Picking a play to perform can be a tough task but judging by the number of people who turned up to audition, Dronfield Players’s upcoming production of The Memory of Water was a popular choice.

Director Ginny Priestley said: “We had an enormous number of people audition for this - there were over 20; we normally get half that number of people auditioning.”

The fruits of their labour can be seen this week at Dronfield Civic Hall, where The Memory of Water opens on Wednesday, March 28 and runs until Saturday, March 31.

A full feature on the players’ upcoming production can be found in the current edition of the Derbyshire Times, published Thursday, March 22.
