To help get the job done J.C.Balls & Sons has invested in three new Renault Kerax trucks from local Renault trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) .

Chris Balls, Partner at J.C.Balls & Sons, said: “We have been using Renault’s trucks for the past 15 years, and we have always had them from RHCV.

“We stayed with Renault as they are all well-built, robust machines - which in our industry is a must!

“The investment in the three new HGVs is part of a strategic growth plan, and we have a fourth truck fitted with a mixer arriving in March. We employ RHCV to service and repair all of our Renault trucks, and with its new Alfreton-base, we will certainly be saving on mileage to and from RHCV’s site in Nottingham that we previously used.”

J.C.Balls & Sons was established 50 years ago on the Midland Industrial Estate in Ambergate, has a staff of around 100 people and runs a plant and lorry fleet of over 40 HGVs, which mainly consists of eight-wheeled tippers and grabbers.

Mr Balls added: “J.C.Balls & Sons has been working with Aggregate Industries for over 30 years.

“The work that is being done in Sheffield is just one job in a long line of contacts we have supplied vehicles for. It’s a working relationship we hope will continue for many years to come.”

J.C.Balls & Sons is located less than 15 minutes away from RHCV’s 64,000 sq ft site in Alfreton.

Formed in 1977, RHCV has been a Renault Trucks dealer since 1986 and turnover was £17m last year.

Paul Pearson, Director at RHCV, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with J.C.Balls & Sons, especially as they celebrate their 50th year.

“Expanding our footprint with the Alfreton branch was a great decision as it has really opened up a whole new customer base to us, as well as bringing us closer to our current customers.”
