A man has been arrested after a car overturned on the A617 near Chesterfield on Saturday morning.
The incident happened at around 11.30am on the motorway bound carriageway of the road between the Hasland and Temple Normanton exit sliproads.
When police arrived on the scene they found one person still with the vehicle but believed another person involved in the incident had left the scene.
The Derbyshire Road Police Unit put out an appeal for the man, believed to be the driver, to come forward.
He was subsequently located, arrested and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Both people who were in the car at the time of the incident were unhurt.
PC Payne of the Derbyshire Road Police Unit said both occupants of the vehicle were ‘very lucky’ not to have been more seriously injured.
