Campaigners took to the street of Eckington to make their voices heard against plans for a fracking site in Derbyshire.

Hundreds of people came out today, Saturday, February 25, which is National Anti-Fracking Day and walked the streets in protest of plans to mine for shale gas in the area.

Chemical firm Ineos is set to submit a planning application to Derbyshire County Council next month for privately-owned land just off Bramley Moor Lane in Marsh Lane, near Eckington.

The march started at the Queens Hotel in Mosborough before leaving the Market Place in Eckington and going up to the Butchers Arms pub in Marsh Lane.
