Person treated for serious smoke inhalation after Eckington house fire
One person was treated for serious smoke inhalation following a fire in Eckington.
Crews from Chesterfield and Staveley attended the fire at a property in Hayfield View at 4.23pm today (Saturday, April 19).
On arrival, firefighters found a fire in a back bedroom that was well alight.
They used two main jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
The crews stayed behind to damp down the area and a fire investigation is now underway.
