Peak crime novelist’s latest book unveiled

A Peak District crime novelist is to unveil his latest book soon.

Stephen Booth will be answering questions and selling signed copies of Already Dead in the Chesterfield Library on June 20 from 7.30pm.

The event has been arranged in association with Derbyshire County Council and the Chesterfield branch of Waterstones.

Already Dead is the twelfth novel featuring DC Ben Cooper and DS Diane Fry solving crimes in the Peak District.

In Stephen’s latest tale has police have discovered a man’s body lying in shallow water but torrential rain has swollen the rivers and flooded the roads, making travel difficult and forensic examination impossible.

Tickets for the launch are priced £3 with £2 concessions and are available from the library help desk or by calling 01629 533400.
