Paramedics treat crash casualties

A WOMAN driver and a child had to be treated by ambulance paramedics after a road traffic collision during rush-hour.

The collision happened on Newbold Road, Chesterfield, about 8.50pm, on Thursday, March 1, and involved a Renault Clio and a Citroen C4 Picasso.

A police spokesman said: “We believe one of the vehicles was parked and a female driver and child had to be checked over by an ambulance team following the collision.”

Police and an ambulance were called out to the incident which blocked up Newbold Road and delayed commuters.

Witnesses can call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101 to help establish the circumstances of the collision.
