Young people have been celebrating success at a High Peak school.

Chapel-en-le-Frith High School students, parents and staff celebrated an enormous range of achievements last week at the school’s annual Prizegiving Evening for students in years seven to ten.

Almost 200 students received awards in front of a packed school hall.

The prizes were presented by paralympian, Anthony Kappes, an ex-student of the school. The gold medal winning cyclist talked about his own experiences and emphasised the importance of effort, determination and pride.
