Brookside actor and star of the town’s Christmas pantomime headed to Spring Gardens Shopping Centre in support of its annual festive gift campaign.

Louis Emerick (left) who played Mick Johnson in Brookside and is starring as Captain Hook in Buxton’s Christmas pantomime joined centre manager Carlon Stewart (right) at the centre last week.

Louis came along to add support to the centre’s Reverse Santa appeal which encourages shoppers to buy an extra gift for a child who may not receive one at all at Christmas time.

Gifts are being collected until Wednesday, December 19, when they will be handed over to the local Social Services who will distribute them to youngsters in and around Buxton.
