Tim, from Chesterfield wanted to take this further, in a role where he could educate and make a difference to people’s lives. With support from ESF funding, he secured a place on a Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) assessing course at Chesterfield College and now has the ability to support, educate and make a difference to the lives of students through his assessing career.

Tim strives to make people feel the best they possibly can through his work, and in turn, inspires beauty therapy and media make up students around him.

He said: “As a male in the beauty Iindustry, there have been many challenges however, the support and guidance of friends, family members, employers and the staff at Chesterfield College mean I am now hoping to progress into a teaching role.”

Festival of Learning is back for its 25th year to celebrate lifelong learning and the benefits it has on people, society and the economy.
