Sepcial guests at the service in Wingerworth Parish Church were the chairman of NE Derbyshire District Council, Cllr Ken Savidge and his wife and the Townswomen’s Guild national vice-chairman Margaret Key, who were welcomed by the chairman, Yvonne Ogden.

Jenn Willis, curate, took the service which included readings from members, Christmas music from the Federation Choir and enthusistic singing of familiar carols by the congregation.

Wingerworth Guild entertained everyone afterwards with tea and mince pies.
