An inquest has opened into the death of a 20-year-old man who was found hanging from a window.
Chesterfield Coroners’ Court heard on Thursday how Luke Prince, of Lucas Road, Newbold, was arrested on the morning of April 15 and released on bail. One of his bail conditions was to live at his father’s home in Blandford Drive, Newbold.
The court was told Mr Prince, a trainee business advisor, was collected from Chesterfield police station by his father at about 11.30am and taken to his address. His father went to pick up Mr Prince’s car on Lucas Road and when he returned to his house he found his son hanging out of a back window.
After attempts to resuscitate him, Mr Prince was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
