A YOUNG entrepreneur has launched a new chapter in his business career after he opened a busy book shop with second hand and new publications.
Simon Cox, 23, of Spire Books, on Knifesmithgate, at the Victoria Centre, in Chesterfield town centre, set up the store after branching out from his on-going antiques and furniture company Simon’s Emporium.
Mr Cox said: “I’ve been running Simon’s Emporium for some time and I got the opportunity to get my hands on a large number of books to sell and started selling them on a market before opening my own book shop.”
Spire Books boasts about 10,000 books on a range of topics including fiction, biographies, history, educational, guides and text publications.
He added: “It’s been getting very busy and people have been ordering specific titles and I’m always happy to help out.”
