PC Ferguson said: “I have spent the past eight years as a response officer across the Derbyshire Dales, working in Matlock, Bakewell and Ashbourne having spent a brief time at Chesterfield.

“I know the area well and understand the issues faced by the community.

“I am looking forward to using my knowledge to help to tackle these issues and improve the situation, with anti-social and nuisance behaviour being one of them.”

PC Ferguson joined the Safer Neighbourhood team in the summer and has spent time getting involved with community events – including Chatsworth Show and Matlock Bath Illuminations – to ensure residents enjoyed a safe time.
