Before joining Derbyshire Constabulary, PC Brown, who lives locally, previously worked in the control room at South Yorkshire Police, and prior to that as a PE teacher at a school in Leeds.

She said: “Although I am familiar with the area, I am new to the role in Safer Neighbourhoods so I’m currently getting to know the local community to find out about their concerns. It is a different style of policing and my focus will be to target the issues that matter to local residents and work with partnership agencies to try and find effective long term solutions.”

Outside of work PC Brown plays rugby for the force’s LGBT team and supports Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. PCSO Janis Naylor has also moved to cover the Poolsbrook and Duckmanton areas.
