New deadline for entries for Derbyhire Times Business Awards

Companies have been given extra time to make their pitch for honours in the Derbyshire Times Business Awards.

The new deadline for entries into the annual competition is Friday, September 5.

This high profile event celebrates the best in business and commerce and draws a wide range of entries from large and small organisations across Derbyshire.

There are 18 categories at the ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, November 20, at the Proact stadium.

They include Business Personaliaty of the Year.

This category is for those at a managerial or executive level who have impressed a sense of their personality on the business, bringing their own style to bear alongside a sense of leadership and commitment to the business which has made a quantifiable difference to the firm.

Last year’s winner was Andy Dukelow who had risen through the ranks to become managing director at Franke Sissons during a 30-year career.

Colleagues described him as “everything and more you could hope for in a managing director.”
