A NEW community bobby is pounding the pavements in Brimington.
PC Sean Sanderson has taken over from PC Fran Townsend as the Safer Neighbourhoods policing officer for the area.
PC Sanderson has been with the force for eight years and has spent all his service so far working as a response officer in Chesterfield, Bolsover and Killamarsh.
He joined Safer Neighbourhoods earlier this month and is already getting to know members of the community and their concerns.
PC Sanderson said: “Safer Neighbourhoods is a different style of policing but I am looking forward to the challenge.
“Anti-social behaviour is one of the key concerns for people in the area and it is one of our priorities to tackle.”
Residents can meet their new officer at the team’s next police surgery which will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at Brimington Church Hall from 10.30am.
