RESIDENTS living in parts of Birdhome, Grangewood, Boythorpe and Brampton are invited to attend a meeting to help set the priorities for their local Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team for the next three months.

The team is holding its next quarterly meeting at 6pm, on Monday, July 30, at Buxton Burns Close Community Centre, off Kingsley Avenue, in Grangewood.

It is a chance for residents to meet officers, find out about current community issues and help decide the priorities to be targeted over the next few months.

The meetings are designed to pull together other agencies such as local, district and county councils, the fire service and housing associations among others who can work together to help find long-term solutions to concerns.

PCSO Zoe Blount of the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “These meetings are a good way for us to keep in touch with the neighbourhood.

“Many of the issues we deal with can be solved by working closely with councils, schools, residents or community groups and by getting people together we can work on ways to solve them.

“It is also a good chance for us to report back to people on what we have been doing in the area and on the progress we’ve made on any concerns raised at the last meeting.”

Anyone can contact the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team with any issues by calling 101, the non emergency number for Derbyshire police, or by emailing chesterfield.neighbourhoods@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.
