Scott Fraser, 45, of Farm Close, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing four DVDs belonging to Lidl supermarket. Committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months. Must also comply with the following requirements within a supervision period of 12 months: participate in an accredited programme for 19 days and to attend a Thinking Skills programme for 19 sessions. Must also comply with rehabilitation requirement. Ordered to pay victim surcharge of £115 and £85 costs.

Shaun Donald Nicholson, 46, of St Helens Street, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing laundry products to the value of £23.97 belonging to the Co-op. Committed to prison for four weeks consecutive.

Sharon Tracey Elizabeth Holland, 45, of Schoolfield Close, Bolsover. Pleaded guilty to stealing shopping items belonging to the Co-op supermarket. Discharged conditionally for 24 months and ordered to pay £40.94 compensation.

Drugs

Samuel Hodgkinson, 26, of Thatchmarsh Close, Ilkeston. Pleaded guilty after being found in possession of two grammes of cannabis. Fined £120, ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul James Barlow, 36, of Stainsby, Heath, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle where there was not in force in relation to that use a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks. Richard Harry Musgrove, 36, of Talbot Crescent, Hasland, Chesterfield. Handed a five-year criminal behaviour order after previously being convicted of assaulting a Police Constable.
