A CROWN court trial concerning the alleged murder of a Chesterfield woman has been adjourned until next week.
Nottingham Crown Court heard this week how Alexander Burnett, 32, of Westlea View, Clowne, is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend 52 year-old Lee Hendry, of Brimington, after her body was found stabbed to death at his home.
Prosecuting barrister Peter Joyce QC said the couple had been reunited through Facebook and following an evening of drink and sex Lee Hendry’s dead body was found at Burnett’s home with a fatal knife wound to the neck.
Burnett, who has pleaded not guilty to murder, claims Lee Hendry enjoyed strangulation during sex and that he stabbed her to death by accident during a sex game. The case has been adjourned until Monday, May 28.
