POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a missing man.

David Marshall, 58, left his home in South Normanton at 1.45pm on Wednesday November 9 in his car - a blue Renault Megane Scenic, stating he was going to work in Somercotes.

He failed to arrive at work and did not return home later.

On the morning of Tuesday November 15 his car was found abandoned with keys in the ignition in a lay-by on the road between Belper and Alderwasley.

Mr Marshall is white, 6ft 1in tall, of medium build, with short straight brown hair.

He has a short beard, and wears glasses. He was dressed in his work clothes, a dark blue jumper and trousers with the NHS logo on them.

Officers have conducted a search of the area around where his car was found and are continuing their enquirie.

Anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle in the Belper/Shottle area or has knowledge of David’s current whereabouts should contact police on 101 and quote incident number 147 15/11/11.
