Matlock garage owner recovering after being crushed by car
A garage owner who was crushed when a car he was working on fell on top of him is recovering having undergone surgery yesterday (Monday, September 1).
David ‘Mac’ Mckenzie, who owns Mckenzie’s Garage, in Smedley Street East, Matlock, was working under a car on Friday at around 11.15am when it fell on him, trapping him underneath.
Firefighters from Matlock lifted the car off him and he was taken by air ambulance to Nottingham Queen’s Medical Centre.
Mckenzie’s Garage is open as usual.
