Marathon cyclists call in at High Peak

Two cyclists passed through the High Peak recently on their mammoth quest to visit all 100 Olympic gold post boxes.

Lucas Meagor and Chris Britton pedalled 2,800 miles around the UK in 27 days, calling at Chapel-en-le-Frith and Disley to celebrate the borough’s three gold medallists Anthony Kappes and Sarah and Barney Storey.

The riders raised almost £2,000 for Sport Relief and the British Paralympic Association.
