Man robbed in Chesterfield street

Police have launched a witness appeal after a man was punched and robbed in the street.

The 29-year-old victim was walking along Crow Lane, Chesterfield, between the railway bridge and the junction with Piccadilly Road, when he was punched by a man.

His wallet, which contained cash, was then stolen.

The victim believes three men may have been involved in the robbery, which happened at about 11.30pm on Sunday, January 18.

Police investigating the offence want to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area.
