Man '˜hit by car transporter' dies in A38 crash
A man has died following a collision on the A38.
Police were called to the southbound carriageway between A61 Watchorn in Alfreton and the A610 in Ripley today (Wednesday, July 27) after reports that a car transporter had collided with a pedestrian.
Officers closed the carriageway and diversions are now in place.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 84 of July 27.
