MAJOR CRASH: A38 in Derbyshire reopens after collision involving lorry and motorbike

The A38 in Derbyshire has reopened after a serious accident today (Sunday, August 21) caused it to be shut for four hours.

Emergency services were called to the A38 southbound near Ripley after a crash involving a lorry and a motorcyclist.

The collision happened near the A610 Ripley junction at about 11am. The A38 was closed in both direction until 3pm.

The fire service, police and paramedics all attended as traffic was at a standstill.

Details of any injuries have not yet been released.
