Follow our top tips for how to get in on the loom band craze ...
So this week ‘loom band’ bracelets have been in the news from dominating the most popular toys on Amazon to being seen worn by The Duchess of Cambridge.
As I am a novice in comparison to my six year old niece, Emma, she will be showing you how to master a simple fishtail ‘loom band’ bracelet this week.
How to make a fishtail band bracelet in eight easy steps, by Emma Hutton:
1 - Twist a band and then put it on your fingers.
2 - Add another coloured band on top but don’t twist it.
3 - Get another coloured band and put that on top too but don’t twist it. (you should have 3 bands on your fingers now).
4 - Get the twisted one (first one) and lift it over the others – do this on both sides.
5 - Add another coloured band.
6 - Get the bottom one (closest to your palm) and lift it over the others – do this on both sides.
7 - Repeat steps five and six until it is long enough to fit your wrist.
8 - To finish your bracelet get an S clip or a C clip. Clip it on to one side of the bracelet and then the other side.
Emma’s Top Tip:
If you just have two colours it is easier but you can do it with as many different colours as you want.
I had a go using a fork, as my fingers were a little big and it worked really well too!
