WEATHER: Met Office claims snow is set to return

THE MET Office has issued a yellow alert for more snow for the East Midlands by the end of the weekend which may cause problems for commuters.

Forecasters expect the weather today, Friday, February 8, to stay dry with a top temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and a lowest temperature of 1 degrees Celsius.

However, following predictions of rain tomorrow, Saturday, February 9, with temperatures falling as low as 2 degrees Celsius, there could be snow around Chesterfield, Derby, Derbyshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire & Rutland from the early hours of Sunday, February 10, and throughout the day.

Similarly, the Met Office has warned of snow between the early hours of Monday, February 11, until midnight.
