Volunteers raise money for unwanted dogs
Just For Dogs supporters Margaret Smith, Daniel Macqueen and Trisha Godfrey with rescue dogs Evie, Jake and Dolly.
Volunteers raised over £150 to help abandonded and unwanted dogs.
Supporters from the Brailsford-based dog rescue charity Just For Dogs were in Bakewell town centre this month, holding a collection and raising public awareness of their work.
The charity finds new homes for up to two hundred unloved dogs each year.
Organiser Daniel Macqueen said: “A total of £150.49 was donated by the townsfolk and day-trippers, which was quite magnificent of them.
“A very big thank-you to everyone who dipped into their pockets for us and for our dogs, especially in these financially-challenging times.
“Every last penny will be spent on our day-to-day work with the dogs in our care.
“Anyone interested in adopting one of our beautiful rescue dogs or becoming a supporter should phone 01335 361363 or visit www.justfordogs.org. “
