Unstone arrest in shooting probe
Police arrested a 26-year-old man in Unstone in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage boy.
The man is the third person to be arrested following the death of 16-year-old Jonathan Matondo who was shot in the head in a playground, in Burngreave, Sheffield.
Officers said the 26-year-old, from Burngreave, was arrested at an address in Unstone, about 5pm, on Saturday, under suspicion of murder.
Chief Supt Jon House, Sheffield's police commander, said: "We've been delighted by the response of the community who have come forward to help with this investigation and allowed us to move as quickly as we have done."
The latest suspect is being questioned with two 18 year-old men, also from Sheffield, who were previously arrested following the shooting on Wednesday(OCT17).
Jonathan Matondo, of Burngreave, died from a single gunshot wound to his head according to a post mortem result.
