Three men arrested on suspicion of drug possession

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs after they were stopped by officers in Old Whittington.

Patrolling officers saw a man get out of a car in Holland Road on Monday, June 18, and go into a nearby garden. They followed the 24-year-old and searched the garden, finding a wrap of what they believed to be cannabis.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, was found to be carrying a large amount of cash. The pair were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs, along with a 25-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car.

All three, who are from Sheffield, have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
