The Pavilion Gardens gets ready for Easter fun

As Easter approaches, look to the Pavilion Gardens to entertain you and your family for the whole weekend.

This year the popular Easter Fair covers the whole weekend from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Here you can wander round a fabulous variety of stalls from food and drink, home and garden ware to gifts and jewellery. There will also be lots of plants to buy from one of many local garden suppliers who are willing to share their expertise and offer advice on planning your spring garden.

Over the weekend 70 stalls will fill the Octagon Hall and outdoors on the promenade there will be hot food stalls, children’s fairground rides, music and dancing. Well know black and white photographer Dave Butcher, who has been making photographic images since the early 70’s will be there signing his fourth book, ‘city light’ throughout the weekend.

In addition, on Good Friday there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and Face Painter (which continues throughout the weekend) and live music between 11 am and 1.30pm. On Saturday the Tideswell Brass Band will be playing on the Band Stand between 2pm and 4pm.

The special additional event on Easter Sunday will be a Mini Farm on the promenade between 12 noon and 4pm with Dove Holes Brass Band playing on the bandstand between 2pm and 4pm.

On Easter Monday the ‘Owl Experience’ will be here from 10 am to 5 pm with their birds of prey.

Don’t miss this opportunity to bring the family along to a fun filled day out at the ‘Pavilion Gardens,’ Buxton! The Easter Fair is opened from 10am to 5pm Friday to Monday and is free entry every day. There is a large relaxing family friendly café offering fresh locally sourced produce and a contemporary coffee bar with indoor and outdoor seating selling highly acclaimed espresso coffee and a popular Bradwell’s ice-cream parlour.

During the Easter holidays there will be the ever popular Farmer’s Market on Thursday 4 April, attended by many local suppliers selling fresh home made and locally sourced products. The market takes place between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm and is free entry. A special demonstration will be given by the ‘Bag Ladies’ at noon, titled ‘How to make a handbag from a jumper!’. But if you miss the demonstration they will be on hand to share their know-how throughout the day.

Towards the end of the holidays there is the hugely popular Saturday Bazaar on Saturday 13 April. The Saturday Bazaar offers an eclectic mix of stalls; with over 65 stalls creating a great market atmosphere. The Saturday Bazaar takes place between 10am and 4.30pm and is free entry.
