Taking the plunge!

DAREDEVILS will be taking the plunge for charity.
Around 20 fundraisers will be abseiling on Millers Dale bridge, on Sunday, February 5.
The challenge has been organised by Phil Meadley to raise funds for Macmillan nurses.
Phil’s uncle, Ben Meadley, of Clay Cross, is currently being treated for bowel cancer.
Phil, of Glapwell, said: “My uncle has been cared for by Macmillan nurses so we want to raise money to show our appreciation. He can’t fault their care at all.”
Among those taking part in the charity feat will be Phil’s 10-year-old son Jack, a pupil at Palterton Primary School.
Phil has organised a series of events throughout the year for the charity and hopes to raise around £15,000.
Over the Easter weekend, 17 people from Chesterfield will take on a cycling challenge.
