TABLE tennis players scored more than £300 for charity in a 24-hour sponsored challenge.

The Gospel Mission Congregational Church in Old Road, Brampton, Chesterfield, collected the cash for The Jacqueline Garlic Epilepsy Fund.

More than 40 people, from children to pensioners, took part with a group of teenagers holding a sleepover.

Church secretary Chris Townsend said: “This was a wonderful concerted effort by almost everyone in the church and by all ages from eight to eighty.”
