Passenger trapped as tree hits moving car
A shocked couple had a "lucky escape" after a branch fell on to their moving car.
The female driver and male passenger were travelling down Sheffield Road in Chesterfield at about 10.30 on Thursday night when a large part of a tree dropped on to their saloon vehicle, trapping the passenger inside.
Fire crews from Chesterfield and Staveley attended the incident and freed the man before he was taken to hospital.
Michael Newman, watch manager at Staveley, said: "They had a very lucky escape.
"Crews had to free them and lift up quite a hefty branch that had fallen down."
