Paper donation to nursery playtime

A CHILDREN’s nursery has received around two tonnes of paper thanks to a council clear out.

Playtime and learning activities will make use of the old stock, donated to Sunshine Nursery at Walton Hospital by Chesterfield Borough Council.

The spring clean was undertaken at the authority’s in house printing department now managed by partner arvato. The paper was no longer suitable for the council to use.

Cllr Chris Ludlow, executive member for the environment said: “It’s good to see the paper being used by the children rather than collecting dust in a cupboard at the Town Hall!

“We would normally send the paper out for recycling but this was a much better option.”
