Nurses' dash raises charity cash
Caring nurses walked over 26 miles in their bras to raise £3,000 for a breast cancer charity.
Margaret Marsden (47) and Sue Griffiths (37) power-walked the Paris marathon to bring in the cash for the Walk the Walk breast cancer charity.
The pair, who both work at Chatsworth Road Medical Centre, in Chesterfield, decided to raise cash for the cause as they are both responsible for looking after people with breast cancer.
And despite Margaret slipping on a banana skin at 20 miles, leaving her with a painful knee injury, the pair managed to complete the course in six hours.
Margaret, said: "It was first ever marathon and it was a long way between 20 and 26 miles!
"We want to thank everyone for supporting us, especially the tremendous support we have had from our patients."
Anyone who would still like to give cash to the cause can pick up a sponsorship form from the medical centre's reception.
