Number cruncher Jack's high five!
NUMBER cruncher Jack Davison is set for a high-flying city career after totting up the best A-level results in his school.
The Brookfield pupil gained five As in maths, economics and business studies, Spanish, geography and general studies.
He said: "I was shocked, I couldn't believe it to be honest. I wasn't expecting to do that well."
The 18-year-old is now taking up a place at Nottingham University to read economics with Hispanic studies.
Jack added: "I'm not sure exactly what I want to do yet but probably something in the financial sector. And the language will give me a niche skill."

Brookfield achieved a 98 per cent pass rate, with three students – Helen Atkinson, George Bainbridge and Nicholas Cartwright – picking up four A grades.
Helen also gained a merit in an advanced French paper, and Robert Sandler achieved the equivalent award in German.
Headteacher Russell Barr said: "These excellent results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of students and staff. All these students contributed fully to the life of the school and we wish them all the very best for the future."
