New speed limits on A6

Speed limits on stretches of the A6 have been reduced by Derbyshire County Council as part of a nationwide safety review.

Motorists are being urged to look out for signs showing the new 30mph limits.

The A6 has been reduced from 40mph to 30mph at:

Darley Dale

Northwood near Rowsley

Furness Vale between Bridgemont and New Town

Existing 30mph limits in Matlock Bath and Dove Holes have also been extended.

Work to examine around 600 miles of roads across the county started in September last year.
