There was a double celebration for this golden couple as they celebrated two family wedding anniversaries on the same day.
Roy and Joyce Bradley, of Grangewood Road, in Chesterfield, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on March 28.
The couple met when introduced by a mutual friend at a local funfair and were married at Saltergate Methodist Church.
Roy (75) worked at Sheepbridge and as a miner until his retirement, first at Holmewood and then Markham colliery, while Joyce (76) was a midday supervisor for a number of years at the former William Rhodes School.
The couple, who have one son, John and two grandsons, Mathew and Richard, enjoy holidays abroad, watching football and gardening.
They marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a family meal at the Greyhound Hotel in Stretton.
The day proved to be doubly special as it also marked the day that their son and his wife Kay celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary.
